Learn more about the Peugeot e-208
The Peugeot e-208 is a five-door electric city car with range enough to take it cross country, if you need to. It has a compact, sporty shape with a long bonnet, giving it a distinctive but very modern look. Peugeot have retained the cockpit design from the petrol original with a row of piano-style toggle switches that might make you feel like you’re playing a church organ if it wasn’t for the large 10” touchscreen and the configurable 3D head-up display in front of you.
By keeping the cockpit and body design from the petrol version, Peugeot have delivered an electric car that keeps the familiar look of a petrol one and you have to look closely to spot the “e” badge or the body-coloured grille elements which give it away. This is perfect if you want an electric car but don’t want to shout “look at me, I’m driving an electric car!”
As with most electric vehicles, the e-208 uses regenerative braking to help charge the battery while driving. This extends the range, allowing you to go longer between charges. It can feel a bit “odd” if you’re used to a petrol car but you quickly get used to it and it soon becomes normal.
