Having climbed up the market, the Sorento is now a leader in the medium-large class of SUV.
The Sorento offers plenty for the price; 17-inch alloy wheels and rear parking sensors are standard, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto supported.
There are five trim levels available: KX-1, KX-2, KX-3, GT-Line, and GT-Line S. Each version provides a rear-view camera, 7-inch touch screen, and cruise control.
The KX-2 builds on the base model with 18-inch alloys, heated leather seats, and self-levelling suspension. The KX-3 adds a powered tailgate, panoramic sunroof, and electric seats. The GT-Line edition offers a special styling pack, ‘ice cube’ fog lights, and lane assist.
The top of the range GT-Line S offers a self-parking system, 360-view camera, ventilated front seats, and smart cruise control.
There is one engine available for the entire range, though only a manual gearbox for the KX-1. The 2.2L diesel engine comes in manual or automatic. The GT-Line and GT-Line S trim are automatic transmissions only. The engine is reliable and can power a fully-loaded car with ease.
