Toyota’s Avensis is a mid-sized executive car known for its practical style and reliability – especially among business drivers.
Competitively priced, economical and comfortable, the Avensis has long been a popular choice for company car drivers and cabbies. Discontinued in 2018, the model was offered as a sedan and an estate in a variety of trim levels: Active, Business Edition, Business Edition Plus, and Excel.
Entry-level Active models come with 16-inch steel wheels, cruise control, Bluetooth, and a pre-collision system. The next spec level up adds bigger wheels, a sat-nav, DAB radio, reversing camera, and more.
Business Edition Plus models have a more luxurious leather interior, keyless entry, and adaptive LED headlights. The top-spec Excel comes with 18-inch alloys and heated front seats. The estate version adds a panoramic sunroof.
The Avensis has a spacious cabin that’s practically laid out and feels built to last, while the drive quality is refined – especially on the motorway. Engine options consist of a 1.8L petrol engine and 1.6L or 2.0L D-4D diesel.
