Unlike its rivals, the Vitara actually looks like an SUV, rather than a hatchback with a high driving position. That said, there are few vehicles this size as capable as the Vitara when the terrain gets tough.
The Vitara is available in three trims; SZ4, SZ-T and SZ5. Equipment on the base-model SZ4 includes 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, a DAB radio, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The mid-range SZ-T provides more kit. A touchscreen system comes with sat-nav, a reversing camera and smartphone mirroring. 17-inch alloys are also standard on this trim.
Topping the range is the SZ5 which adds more luxury touches. A partial leather and suede trim, a panoramic sunroof, upgraded stereo, as well as front and rear parking sensors are standard features.
Like many Suzukis, the Vitara is only available with petrol engines. The 1.4L is offered with either a manual or automatic gearbox and four-wheel-drive as an option. The engine is comfortable around town and off-road.
