About the Ford Fiesta
The Ford Fiesta is consistently one of the top-selling cars not just in the UK, but right around the world and with good reason.
The Fiesta has won multiple awards throughout the years and over 16 million have been sold since it launched way back in 1976.
There's a reason the Fiesta has maintained its popularity for so long, and with so many on the roads, you'll usually be able to pick one up for a very reasonable price.
Why Buy a Used Ford Fiesta?
Across seven generations, the Fiesta has changed a lot over the years but has consistently been one of the best drives on the market.
With responsive and precise handling, the Fiesta offers a smooth and quiet drive, whether on tricky, winding roads or the motorway, with a spacious interior and great suspension too.
There are also multiple performance options available too, with nine different engines to choose from with the very latest models.
They also produce less than 100g/km, which not only is much better for the environment but also means that they're exempt from paying road tax too.
And with so many on the roads, you're also likely to pick up a good deal if you're happy to shop around.

Which Used Ford Fiesta Should I Buy?
As one of the world's most popular cars, there are lots of different varieties of Ford Fiesta available to you. Here are some of the most popular, as well as some of their features.
Ford Fiesta Studio
The Studio was the Ford Fiesta's entry-level model until it was dropped from the lineup in 2016. While one of the most affordable Fiesta models, it has some impressive features, electronic stability programme, electric power-assisted steering, multiple airbags and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution.
Ford Fiesta Style
The Ford Fiesta Style is another budget-friendly model which was dropped along with the Studio a couple of years ago, although unlike the Studio, the Style is available in both three and five-door models. Features include body-coloured heated door mirrors, manual air-conditioning, electric front windows and a CD radio with USB connection as standard.
Ford Fiesta Zetec
The Zetec was the Ford Fiesta's entry-level model, before being replaced by the Trend in 2019. It looks smarter than your usual entry-level motor, with alloy wheels and a chrome exterior trim, as well as metal handles, ambient lighting and a restyled central console for the interior. You also have the choice of a few different engine types, from cheaper petrol ones to the more economical diesel.
Ford Fiesta Titanium
The Ford Fiesta Titanium is an excellent small car, with an elegant design including chrome trim, 16-inch alloy wheels and bright LED lights. Other features include power-folding mirrors, ambient lighting, cruise control, climate control and a Sony DAB radio.
Ford Fiesta Zetec S
This is the sportier version of the Zetec, which launched with a 118bhp 1.6-litre engine and a five-speed gearbox. It also features aesthetic upgrades such as a large rear wing, bespoke alloys and a cosmetic rear diffuser. It's also 10mm lower than the regular Zetec and features stiffened spring and damper rates, as well as a bespoke calibration for the power steering.
Ford Fiesta Titanium X
The Titanium X adds some extra features to the standard Titanium Fiesta, including keyless entry, part-leather heated seats, electric windows and a reversing camera. On the inside, it features the Ford SYNC system which allows for Bluetooth connectivity and digital DAB radio.
Ford Fiesta ST-1
The Ford Fiesta ST is the performance version of the Fiesta, with the entry-level ST-1 being discontinued in 2019. The ST-1 includes a 2.0-litre petrol engine packing 150 bhp, with a top speed of 129 mph and also features 17-inch wheels, cruise control, air conditioning, keyless start and a 6.5-inch touchscreen interface featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
What Should I Look for When Financing a Ford Fiesta?
Ford Fiestas are usually very reliable, but just like when buying any car, it's important to give them a check over to ensure there are no issues.
Firstly, check the outside of the car to make sure that there are no signs of wear and tear such as rust and on the inside, make sure that all of the lights and electronics are working too.
Some of the newer diesel models of the Fiesta have been known to have problems with their diesel particulate filter being clogged which can cause issues with the engine.
It's also important to listen out for any squeaks or noises that could indicate performance issues with your car, but some of the interior features of the Fiesta have been known to be quite squeaky, so bear this in mind before self-diagnosing any problems.
