Vehicle Warranty – Terms and Conditions

  1. Warranty provider and role of ChooseMyCar

Vehicle warranties made available through the ChooseMyCar platform are provided and administered by Warrantywise, an independent third-party vehicle warranty provider.

ChooseMyCar acts solely as an introducer in relation to vehicle warranties. ChooseMyCar does not underwrite, insure, administer, or manage warranty policies and is not responsible for policy performance, claims decisions, or warranty administration.

Any warranty purchased is a separate contractual agreement between the customer and Warrantywise and is governed exclusively by the policy documentation issued by Warrantywise.

  2. Purpose and nature of the warranty

The vehicle warranty is intended to provide cover against the cost of certain unexpected mechanical and electrical failures, subject to the level of cover selected and the terms, limits, and exclusions set out in the applicable policy documentation.

The warranty is not a maintenance contract and does not cover routine servicing, consumables, or general vehicle upkeep.

Further information explaining how vehicle warranties operate is available on the Warrantywise website at:
    https://www.warrantywise.co.uk/car-warranty/explained/

  3. Levels of cover

Warrantywise offers a range of warranty cover levels. The level of cover available may vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, vehicle age, mileage, type, and specification.

Each cover level defines the scope of components included, together with any applicable financial limits, claim caps, exclusions, or additional conditions.

Further information regarding available cover levels can be found at: https://www.warrantywise.co.uk/car-warranty/cover-levels/

  4. Policy administration and claims

All warranty policies are administered directly by Warrantywise.

In the event of a fault or potential claim, customers must contact Warrantywise as soon as reasonably practicable. Claims must be authorised by Warrantywise prior to any repair work being undertaken. Repairs carried out without prior authorisation may not be covered under the policy.

Warrantywise is responsible for assessing claims in accordance with the policy documentation and for approving or declining claims where appropriate.

Further information regarding repairs and the claims process is available at: https://www.warrantywise.co.uk/repairs-faq/

  5. Servicing and maintenance requirements

To remain eligible for warranty cover, vehicles must be serviced and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended servicing schedule.

Customers may be required to provide evidence of servicing and maintenance when making a claim. Failure to maintain the vehicle appropriately may affect the availability of cover or the outcome of a claim.

  6. Exclusions and limitations

Warranty cover is subject to exclusions and limitations as set out in the policy documentation issued by Warrantywise.

Typical exclusions may include, but are not limited to, wear and tear items, routine servicing and maintenance, consumable items, and pre-existing faults. The precise scope of cover and exclusions will depend on the policy selected.

Customers should refer to their individual policy documentation for full details of inclusions, exclusions, and limitations.

  7. Policy documentation and further information

If a warranty is purchased, Warrantywise will issue the relevant policy documentation directly to the customer. This documentation will set out the terms of cover, policy duration, claims process, and other important information relating to the warranty.

Answers to commonly asked questions are available at: https://www.warrantywise.co.uk/faqs/

  8. Cancellation

Warranty policies typically include a cancellation period of up to 30 days from the start of cover. During this period, customers may be entitled to cancel the warranty and receive a refund, subject to the terms and conditions set out in the policy documentation issued by Warrantywise.

Any cancellation rights, applicable timeframes, and refund arrangements are determined by Warrantywise and form part of the warranty agreement between the customer and Warrantywise.

  9. Responsibility and liability

ChooseMyCar does not provide warranty cover and does not handle warranty claims. All warranty-related obligations, including claims handling, policy administration, and interpretation of policy terms, rest solely with Warrantywise.

Nothing in these terms is intended to limit or exclude any statutory rights a customer may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

  10. Contact and support

For general queries prior to purchasing a warranty, customers may contact ChooseMyCar.

Once a warranty policy is active, all policy administration and claims enquiries should be directed to Warrantywise using the contact details provided in the policy documentation.
