Discontinued last year due to the rise in SUVs, the Zafira had been a popular mainstay of the UK’s MPV market.
Launched in 1999, the Zafira went through three generations and a name change – the Zafira Tourer – before being pulled.
The Tourer came in five trim levels; ES, Exclusiv, SRi, SE and Elite. Each specification included a seven-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The final version had 16-inch alloys, DAB radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot as standard.
The Exclusiv added 17-inch alloys, front and rear parking assist and ambient lighting. The sportier SRi offered 18-inch alloys, sports seating, a roof spoiler and a sports chassis. The SE provided an electronic parking brake and a lounge seating system.
The Elite included sports seats, leather upholstery, and a panoramic sunroof. It reflected the more luxurious upmarket move Vauxhall made with the Tourer.
A range of petrol and diesel engines were on offer with the Tourer. There are 1.8L and 1.4L turbocharged petrol engines, but the diesel engines are the most popular, and the 2.0L performs well.
