Despite its age, the great-to-drive Jaguar I-Pace remains one of our favourite luxury electric SUVs. The Jaguar I-Pace may have arrived in 2018 – a lifetime ago in the rapidly evolving world of EVs – but it remains one of the best electric SUVs money can buy.

The Jaguar I-Pace’s poor sales stem from stiff competition, dated technology, battery issues and recalls, and a strategic shift by Jaguar to focus on a new, all-electric luxury lineup, leading to its discontinuation to make way for more premium models with a refreshed brand identity. Early battery problems from LG Chem (affecting other brands too) and subsequent recalls for fire risks further damaged its reputation and resale value.

The battery is built to last, with Jaguar claiming significant lifespan (around 310,000 miles) and offering an 8-year/100,000-mile warranty, with minimal degradation often reported by owners.
