Learn more about the Mercedes Benz EQB

Searching for an electric SUV but need 7 seats for kids and kit? Options, it has to be said, have been limited… until now.

Sensing a gap in the market, Mercedes took their ultra-popular GLB family van, tore out its combustion innards and rebuilt it with an electric drivetrain – which sounds like a recipe for compromise but this is Mercedes we’re talking about. They don’t know the meaning of the word.

As you may have come to expect from the Mercedes EQ range, the EQB’s exterior features sharp angles and creates a strong, formidable impression. The light strip adorning both the front and rear of the car as well as its recognisable black panel grille immediately singles it out as a member of Mercedes’ impressive EQ family.

The interior is just as stylish, with a striking, high-tech feel including a multifunctional sports steering wheel. Rose gold elements add a touch of class to the powerful aura created by the bold interior.

As a relatively new car, the Mercedes-Benz EQB currently has three models, the EQB 250 (140 kW), the EQB 300 4MATIC (168 kW) and the EQB 350 4MATIC (215 kW). No matter which specification you choose, the attention to innovative features are what makes all of these EQBs so desirable and luxurious.

Mercedes-Benz EQB Exclusive

Even at entry-level, the Mercedes-Benz EQB offers a luxurious experience to the driver and passengers alike, however, the Exclusive trim could improve your day-to day journeys even further. All-wheel drive comes as standard but there are two powertrains to choose from. The EQB300 model offers a combined 225 horsepower while the slightly more powerful EQB350 can be pushed to 288 if you’d rather opt for something speedier.

Mercedes-Benz EQB Pinnacle

The pinnacle trim level steps up the game, offering a luxurious panoramic sunroof so you can enjoy extra natural light in the cabin, making the car feel even more spacious. Additional sunlight can also go a long way in brightening your mood. Treating yourself to the pinnacle trim also gives you an upgrade to the Burmester premium stereo system, allowing you to be entirely immersed in top-quality sound. The crisp, balanced audio system is an experience all in itself, striving to meet even the highest expectations in audio and visuals.

As one of the few electric SUVs with seven seats, you don’t want to miss out on the richly spacious EQB. Aside from the luxury of extra room, the EQB has all the other hallmarks of a Merc: fantastic design, tactile, high quality materials and a feel of refinement you just don’t find elsewhere. It’s a luxury family van in all ways.

Brief History of the Mercedes Benz EQB

The first of the Mercedes-Benz EQ range was previewed in 2016, with Mercedes planning to create ten EQ models by 2022. As one of the later models in the range, the EQB was released in 2021.

It is available in both five and seven-seat variations and incorporates Mercedes’ customer experience-orientated tool, called Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX), to create a truly unique vehicle.

Whether you’re transporting the whole 5-a-side footie team or scooching your brood up to the lakes for a long weekend, there’s not much that’ll do it as pleasantly as the EQB. Certainly not many cars that’ll have the same amount of space for it.

It’s also a fantastic car for those who enjoy a high-tech drive, with Merc’s fantastic voice assistant complimenting they EQB’s dual-screen infotainment system.

For those who appreciate quality and refinement, as well as space, it’s simply unbeatable.

Although the EBQ is relatively affordable, it might be a more feasible option if you consider lowering your monthly cost by choosing a PCP arrangement. Financing can be more affordable if you opt for younger or more reliable cars, so make sure to think about the age and condition of your car before you start negotiating – don’t let yourself be caught out.

The Mercedes-Benz EQB is an innovative car with a distinctly modern feel inside and out. Don’t get stuck in the past, choose the Mercedes-Benz EQB for a car that will adapt to all your personal needs.
