Learn more about the Nissan Pulsar

A dependable and reliable family hatchback, the Pulsar was almost a “blink and you’ll miss it” car due to a short sales run.

Discontinued in 2018, the Pulsar offered everything you want in a family hatchback. It combined reliability, great equipment and good looks.

The Pulsar came in four levels of trim; the Visia, Acenta, N-Tec and Tekna. The Visia provides 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control and Bluetooth. The Acenta adds keyless entry and start technology and automatic lights and wipers.

The N-Tec trim offers 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, and a reversing camera. This trim also introduces the NissanConnect2 touchscreen system that includes sat-nav and DAB radio.

The top-level Tekna comes with heated front seats, leather upholstery and Nissan’s ‘Safety Shield’. This is a range of safety technology that includes blind spot and lane departure warning systems.

There is a mix of petrol and diesel-powered engines for the Pulsar. The entry-level petrol is a 1.2L that offers solid responsiveness. The 1.6L petrol provides more performance at a higher price. The 1.5L diesel engine delivers strong pull.
